Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) is a two year program offered to the students after they complete Intermediate or A Levels. The program spans over six semesters in which the students study thirty courses earning 90 credit hours. These students have all the skills and knowledge to work in the professional market as programmers, database administrators, web developers, web designers, network administrators , graphic designers, and computer animators. The degree awarded to these students is considered as equivalent to a diploma in computer Science by the HEC. However, the credits earned during the BCS studies are acceptable towards the BSCS (Honors) requirements. After earning BCS, students will be required to complete an additional 42 credit hours in two years to complete their BSCS (Honors).
Admission in the BSCS program is granted to the students holding BCS degree from USA. These students are required to study 36 credit hours in course work and 6 credit hours of thesis. The students are required to study one semester each year while they work professionally in the field and complete thesis work in the remaining six months. During each semester, the students study two courses of three credit hours and three courses of four credit hours each. After completing the BSCS degree, the students will be eligible to apply for lecturer-ship through public service commission and can complete the MSCS program by studying 36 credit hours.
